Status : 99% of the Church of Zer is definitely deleted (100% of MediaFire links). Previous posts remain for decoration and archeology.
Reboot, rezer, with probably a change in strategy due to storage and paranoia constraints (files rotation, obfuscation, passwords, shit like that). The end is near! Bring out your dead! 2012 it is. Let's start with cannibal black metal from Poland. I must admit I bought these albums solely because of the superior moniker and because the single-sided 12" Spectres Over Transylvania looks awesome, without having heard one second of the music. And this was a very satisfying black metal blind date: for those into Mayhem's De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas and the ugliest of Darkthrone, doctor Satan recommends large doses of Cultes Des Ghoules and their raw and putrid and grim and gloom and crawling lo-fi black metal delivered in extra long songs with a lot of class. The don't reinvent the sharpened flint, they use big ones to harvest your meat for the sacrifice to the monolith and you will cry for more. So much that Spectres is one of my favorites 2011 releases, ah yes I almost forgot the Church Of Zer top 2011: Old Head, Brutal Truth, Bulldozer, Vektor, JaKa, Attitude Adjustment, Origin, Zeni Geva, Saxon, Artillery, Articles Of Faith and so on. Rah Jah!

Et le 7e jour, Dieu Se gratta les Parties d'un air entendu. Afin de ne pas oublier cet événement libérateur des glaciations de l'ennui, Jean-Paul 2, Oscar du Pape d'Or 1978, nous confirme que l'accent polonais est hypra sexy. Un rythme soutenu, des riffs de plomb et plusieurs passages prog-épiques nous plongent dans l'extase malgré l'absence de rimes dans ses textes dont on regrettera également la profondeur légèrement moins travaillée que celle de Bo le Lavabo. Du côté anglophone, Jimmy Swaggart nous offre un picture-disc fantastique de ses meilleurs titres depuis 1956, Elvis n'a qu'à bien se tenir.
Afin de compléter cet hommage au Seigneur avec un peu de brioche, plongeons-nous dans les Évangiles de la Très Sainte Inquisition selon Vital Remains, orchestre de chambre bien connu de spécialistes du démembrement. Leur discographie ravira les plus exigeants en matière de recueillement sans anesthésie.

Vital Remains hell yeah! Some of my favourite death metal rises and shines from the magnificent Into Cold Darkness (ending in a massive rendition of Dethroned Emperor!!). Amazing album, as well as Forever Underground and the very heavy Let Us Pray. Dawn of The Apocalypse is great too, maybe a little less inspired, but then things seriously start to crumble with the last two records which bore me to tears. Textbook array of accelerated and factory sealed riffs with the Deicide dude having a microphone cancer do not speak to me, but whatever, le us pray into cold darkness forever underground rezer!

The nuclear tribute to JaKa is at last out and available for mass consumption!!! FUCK YEAH!!! This tribute is a freaky show of grandeur, every track is a multidimensional ohmage to her majesty JaKa. Styles range from faithful grindpunk attack to electro perversion to church organ conversion and anything in between, AMAZING!!! Congratulation to all particpants of this masterpiece. Kreator and masters of the universe Eisenvater were supposed to be there too, but alas they forfeited, bastards.
As a member of Montreal's schönest viscosity in doomsludgepunkthrash CortisoL, I am delighted to remind our slow audience that our take of Jaka's Lebendgewicht is featured on this monster (track 15 on CD 1, track 2 on side B on the LP). JaKa est un des héros morts au combat de la scène allemande (1998 - 2011). GCDBMDD #5 : Thème du jour : Thanks God it's Friday ! Funk et soul à tous les étages
Encore pris au piège par le thème du jour du GCDBMDD vu le taux très très bas de funk/soul dans ma maigre discothèque. Ça se limiterait au produit phare de la fin des années 80 : la vague de "funk rap metal" (veuillez noter les guillemets) inspirée de Red Hot Chili Peppers, Suicidal Tendencies et Slayer (j'aime peu écrire le mot "Metallica"). Et mis à part quelques pointures énormes comme 24/7 Spyz, Freaky Fukin Weirdoz, Maelstrom ou Scat Opera, on ne peut pas dire que j'en ai beaucoup mangé, le style de leurs majestés Victims Family ou NoMeansNo étant davantage ma tasse de thé et mon assiette de choucroute. Alors voici Primus, l'un des plus larges dilatateurs de tympans des deux dernières décennies et quart, monument des forêts intérieures et des fumées extérieures, totem de l'amour des vertèbres, chancelier du métabolisme auriculaire. C'est pas aussi funk que James Brown, mais plus que Portal.

These 9 albums are as hot as the Judas Priest and Black Sabbath of the same era, especially Lonesome Crow and Fly which are totally amazing psychesabbathdelic records. Tokyo Tapes is another cult live album of the stature of Made In Japan and Live At Last. Anyway I'm joyfully biased, the first distortion show I ever attended was a Scorpions concert in 1981 à Grenoble, ach! Monumental rocking zer!

Lio - Premier Album, 1980
Aujourd'hui nous redécouvrons avec bonheur le premier album de Lio. On sent bien l'absence totale d'influence de Slayer, et pour cause, Slayer n'existait pas encore, c'est peu dire. Pourtant, en tant qu'oeuvre maîtresse, voire formative, du mouvement post-neo industriel d'outre-ici, Lio sut s'imposer dès le début de son orbite. Des riffs inoubliables, un rythme précis et fougueux, des paroles inspirantes du 13e type, des solos impeccables, une dentition irréprochable, une esthétique du rayon slip de la Samaritaine - en un mot comme en cent, c'.

En cadeau bonus, un ep absolument résolu de Richard Sanderson alors qu'il faisait vibrer nos jeune âmes fébriles à la fois sur le plan émotionnel (Reality, face A) et corporel (Gotta Get A Move On, face B). La Boum est la réponse à la Petite Maison Dans la Prairie version dentiste, c'est le Gros Appartement Dans la Ville. Ce film francophone magistral au contenu infini et sa bande sonore anglophone pour des raisons d'ouverture à la culture d'autrui rythment encore la nostalgie de l'acné après Cannibal Holocaust et avant Welcome To Hell. C'est magnifique, d'autant plus que cette oeuvre supérieure permit à Sophie Marceau d'entamer une carrière riche en succès puisque l'on vit ses nichons quelques années plus tard (pas dans La Boum car elle n'en avait pas encore, ou pas assez, ou ils ont oublié). Les gens qui n'ont pas vu La Boum sont démunis.
Je n'ai jamais su qui était la plus bonne entre Sophie Marceau et Lio (à âge équivalent, sinon c'est Lio).

Yeah yeah yeah! This is a hidden treasure of thrashing hard rock from the best manufacture, featuring the bass & drums of Total Fucking Destruction, the guitar of Rumpelstiltskin Grinder and an excellent singer that reminds me of the guy from Holocaust. This album is just awesome. It looks like yet another 80s retro things, and in a way it is, but it's by far the best I've heard in that department (except if you count in the equally killer album from Proudflesh). The execution is stellar, the production shines with the right amount of dirty butter and the songs are just fantastic, hit after hit! It's like a male version of Rust/Business Megadeth with a great singer, a few Maiden riffs, crazy leads and several excellent covers. All songs stick to the brains for weeks, awesome album with no filler!! Another entry in the 2011 Zer Top 5!!! !!! Bang that head til ZERRRRRRrrrrRR!RR!R!rRR R!r! rR !R! !RR!R! rR! MONSTER ZER MEGAWAR!!! When Brutal Truth went into the fridge in 1998, drummeranderthal Rich Hoak fed the grindcore fire with TFD. The sound is more straight forward than BT, and the lyrics more John Cleese oriented, which is great. The result is a growing storm of amazing bulldozethrashing grindcore with many hooks and sticks in the class of DRI and Japanische Kampförspiele. Hater and Peace Love are especially recommended by Grindcore Doctor for the true zerist. Hater in my 2011 top 5 rezer!! THRASH TIL ZER!

Semi-reload alarm! More Gang Green is good for you and me. The new 7" is an excellent return with one rock song and one fast and loud track in the Another Wasted Night style. Great stuff even if it does not explode like the insane 1982 material, but anyway nothing does. Aaaaargh this Preschool reissue is such a winner release of highest zeritude! Highlight of This Is Boston Not L.A., stuff of legends, zer. The following crossover hardcore-hard rock records are solid pieces of Motörheadism, Can't Live Without It still being one of the hottest live albums on my shelves. Bang that head, let's drink some beer!

Classic 80s thrash metal! Yes! I got into these guys through the death defying Speed Metal Hell 3 compilation (with Wehrmacht and Prong! Plus Papsmear, Necrophagia and Dream Death). Largely influenced by Slayer and Kreator who were influenced by Slayer, in the spirit of the legendary Slayer-influenced Sacrilege BC, Blood Feast released a short series of Slayer-influenced excellent-to-awesome records. Both albums are great, but the complete masterpiece is the Face Fate mini LP, maniac killer world class thrashing metal!!! Too fucking short!!!

Amen tazer. Let us drink the Eternal Milk from The Mother Of Everything. A bit of blasphemy here : they may not match the similarily hard rock album from Rattus or Broken Bones, but Grave New World and Massacre Divine are actually quite enjoyable. Of course at first they had the Cold Lake effect and many barf bags were used, but after a few decades of training one can appreciate them. To get into the shocking vocals of Grave New World, I put myself in Upsidedown Cross mode and it works. There's even an epic 14 minutes long song. Massacre Divine is heavier metal, with vocals almost back to almost normal, as far as The More I See or The Price Of Silence are concerned. Then I find the greasy Shooting Up The World really excellent, in a Prong way. And the 21st century stuff is a great return to the classic sound, as much the 2002 album with the classic lineup as the recent stuff with the Varukers singer. Natürlich, even though nowadays particles beat the speed of light, the first law of Nature remains unchallenged: we all live in DISCHARGE 1982! DEEP PURPLE - SAXON - GBH! JUDAS PRIEST - IRON MAIDEN - THE EXPLOITED! THIN LIZZY - RAVEN - BROKEN BONES! SEX PISTOLS - VENOM - GIRLSCHOOL! BLACK SABBATH - MOTÖRHEAD - DISCHARGE! They know how to do it in the UK, bastards.

Take your clothes off and set your anti-photon detector to 11. It won't get any darker, the end is near, don't be late.

Another Ghoul, from the USA this time. Excellent grinding death thrash of the Carcass sort on the first two albums, yet my favorite is the awesome rocking Splatterthrash. This is the winner of the lot, an extra big ass crossover of Venom | Amebix | Gwar | Carcass with a touch of Macabre. These dudes do know how to write songs, it's simply an immensely great greasy-groovy-heavy-classy album, much more than a plain tribute to 80s thrash. Can't wait for the new album to come out!

If this lot were not the über best hardcore band on the planet, they were close. My pants are still drying. There are not enough exclamation marks in the universe to faithfully translate the power of Death Side, who steal the crown of Crucifix | Crow | Attitude Adjustment | Slang. Featuring the amazing guitar works of the late Chelsea (later in the awesome Paintbox), this sockingly exciting discography is a pit of addiction. It's fast, sharp, dark and high on the Japanese sound, when I grow up I want to be in Death Side.

Ripping 80s killer thrash and death!!! Cultosaurus fierce & very very fast metal for every family member addicted to the mighty early output of Sepultura | Sodom | A.R.G. | Sadus | Wehrmacht | Morbid Angel | Dark Angel, yes, all this and more, greatness included. The first two albums are simply awesome, as in shock and awe. Story of Serpent Temptation: both version feature the same basic tracks, the second version has rerecorded vocals, new lyrics and different song titles, and some new guitar tracks, and better artwork. Both are amazing, the first being more Kreator | Wehrmacht oriented in the vocal department, while the second version sounds more like Sepultura | Morbid Angel. I never found out which one I liked the most, both rip your flesh from your bones and eat it. Then they came back 10 years later under the Opprobrium moniker with Discerning Forces which is another killer album in the brutal thrash style of Chaosfear | Claustrofobia. Unfortunately Mandatory Evac is not that great - could have been but the flat production alters the soundgasm (STOP CRANKING THE ULTRA MAXIMIZER!!! Who fucking cares how loud it is...). Amazing artwork, thick red vinyl, classic 1985/1986 trio line-up... and mild disappointment. Like the new single-track Amebix EP does not compete with Arise! or Monolith, this C.O.C. ep does not really match their über infernal classics Six Songs With Mike Singing, Animosity and Technocracy. But it's still a very good song, split over the two sides of the record: groovy sabbathism much, much better than the garbage of American Volume Dealers, with the basics of what made Hungry Child or Crawling so great, in a Snake Nation way. Ah yes, this song would have fit on the Snake Nation album. I guess a whole album of this would be more convincing than a single song, and we can only hope it would happen before April 2036. The year was 1993 and we were honeymooning with Marielle in NYC, desperate for a good show. There were great shows before and after but not during out stay, so we easily got talked into going to see this band unknown to us, Life of Agony, by a guy in a record store: he told us they had the Type O Negative drummer (from the two master superior very best very zerrrrrest albums Slow, Deep and Hard and Bloody Kisses), we could not resist. So we attended what was the launch party (in a Manhattan church) of River Runs Red (produced by Josh Silver of Type O Negative... ach, a family affair) and to this day it is one of the very best shows we ever saw, ever. It was just too amazing to be true! And so is the CD: heavy, intense, melodic and dark to the level of Candlemass, River Runs Red has remained on the top of the EZTT. This is some CLASSIC AWESOME metal here! And I mean true 90s metal inherited from the Best Wishes / Alpha Omega era of the Cro-Mags, not some fucking shoot-me-in-the-knee-nu-metal. If new to L.O.A., River Runs Red is mandatory, then the excellent follow up Ugly, then the live stuff and the great 2005 comeback album Broken Valley, a depressing piece of heavy rock. You may forget the demos (average NYHC) and the Soul Searching Sun unzer thing that features the singer from Ugly Kid Joe - not terrible, but much weaker/radio oriented than expected.
Factoids: the guitarist was in the 2007 reunion of Carnivore, and the singer is now a lady (yes, like the bass player from Cretin).

Damnation AD or the ultimate groove machine! Excellent to amazing metallic hardcore that I ran into because initially on Jade Tree (home of the superior Swiz and Fury), this stuff rocks your depressive tendencies, especially my favorite Misericordia for its awesome opening track Addiction: 90s "post-HC" of the Mind Over Matter | Die 116 sort with wagons of Neurosis tar and crushing metal riffing not unlike early Life Of Agony.
In This Life is a pretty solid comeback, featuring good new songs, but the best parts is the rerecording of old tracks (Addiction!!!). And I can't listen - extract from couch, walk to cd player, press skip - to the abominable track 7 If you could remember, ach nein. Other than that, addicted to the Addiction of ZERRRRR!RR!R!R! !R! Among the brightest stars of the Eternal Zer Top Ten, Oxbow share the largest torch with a select few of the Eisenvater caliber. Of course Oxbow sound nothing like Eisenvater, the armored divinity of exoskeleton alpha metal, although there is a tangible spiritual connection between both worlds. Everybody loved and cried at the excellent Anvil rockumentary. Still, should we be that sorry about Anvil's relative lack of success while other heavy metal bands at least as talented like the legendary Raven and the beasts of Hades didn't even reach half of Anvil's success? A recurrent theme in Hades' album titles... Like Raven and Anvil, Hades started in the 70s (1978 I think) and have made some of the best heavy metal ever. My first encounter of the second type with Hades was through the classic Metal Massacre VI compilation, but they didn't really stand out. You do have to get up early and outdo your best to rival the emergence of Dark Angel, Nasty Savage, Possessed, Hallow's Eve or Hirax on the same record... But years later they released Resisting Success and this time it was a total sonic success, fuck yeah! Best heavy metal since Forged in Fire and All For One! Resisting Success made me sell back my post-fistful Anthrax, Trance, Loudness and Armored Saints records, didn't need that stuff anymore when I could listen to Hades! Resisting Success and If At First You Don't Succeed sit at the very top of Speed Metal Mountain thanks to the power and speed reminding of Exciter and Agent Steel, the heaviness of Nasty Savage, the catchy technicality of Iron Priest and Watchtower and simply some world class crazy killer metal songs. The live album is awesome, Exist To Resist has wider and richer influences while the last two albums are a bit heavier and crunchier. My least favorite is $avior$elf, still an excellent piece of metal. Lots of variations, super strong melodies, top notch musicianship, no filler songs, what else do you want? Even the few songs that could be tagged as ballads are super great. And these guys knew how to mix a bass guitar, which was an original thing in metal (and too often still is...). The postman is one of my favorite human beings, look what he brought me today. The Danish kings of thrash metal return with My Blood, great follow-up to the 2009 super powered When Death Comes. I still have to listen to it a couple dozen times more to have a real opinion. My Blood sounds excellent, and even if it does not seem to match When Death Comes, it provokes a great amount of headbanging and air guitar. Fist in the air!!
Now Rotten Sound's Cursed... Holy shit. Only 2 spins confirm it's nothing less than a grinding MONSTER full of merciless crust and sludge. I think I already like it more than Cycles. Fuck yeah! It's mean, it's fast, it's dark, it's a murder, it's awesome, it's Christmas.

Fudge Tunnel had the great idea to surface at a time when I was spending my days rotating between the Rollins Band, the Melvins and Distortion X. Louder than loud abrasive sludge rock to make your spinal chord crack, that was the idea - never too heavy! Discovering the Sweet Sound of Excess and Hate Songs In E Minor was then a major win. At least something really heavy to pursue the sonic tasks of Big Black and their peers, which to me always lacked something menacing in their sound. I don't know which record is my favorite here, but it's not Creep Diets, the only FT release I find dull and flacid. The rest is golden crushing rocking tar by the mighty distorted decibel!
Then FT split up and there was Nailbomb, a FT | Sepultura joint venture of the S.O.D. | Ministry sort (not to be published here because I didn't dig it and sold the cds years ago). Skin Yard had a common point with Adrenalin OD: Nirvana opened for them. However Skin Yard had the legendary Jack Endino on guitar, who produced Bleach and the Insecticide demos (and some of the Accüsed albums, and he remixed some Holy Terror for the El Revengo release, among many other sonic production stunts - that was a decade when I would buy a record just because it was recorded by Jack Endino). Also Skin Yard seemed to have been a prolific drummer boot camp (for Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Presidents of the US and other big names). But Skin Yard never really made it on the commercial level, although their albums are full of excellent hard rock of the Seattle sort (yes, the word "grunge" should be typed here, but Skin Yard had much more class and personality than the subsequent average Nirvana clone). Great heavy rock songs with excellent singing and a psychedelic buzz, very nice after a week-end replaying all the Razor albums!

Norway did not only boost the white make-up industry, they also offer the world great fish and Atrox, one major headache in the nomenclature department. Hard to tag, but wunderbar to insert into the aural orifices. The first album Mesmerised is the less convincing: good atmospheric almost-doom as in early Paradise Lost and The Gathering, but a bit pale compared to the other four albums (except the last majestic song, great when riding and iceberg). Then some controlled madness enters the scene and you get 4 amazing albums of progressive, powerful, melodic and technical metal that ranges from Faith No More to Voïvod to Meshuggah (but with great vocals). Yes, with keyboards, sometimes you must accept the challenges of the universe. The last one Binocular is maybe my favorite, although the very excellent lady singer was replaced by a mikepattonesque guy who's actually really good too. Ah, or maybe my favorite is Contentum? Ach, oder Terrestrials ? How do you grade such musical mastery? Let's just say Contentum and Terrestrials are the most fucked up, Orgasm and Binocular the most steady and my sister wears glasses. Embark in a brainiac trip of mesmerizing binocular orgasm of extra-terrestrial contentum and ZER!

From the infamous 80s "youth crew" Boston scene, let's dig out the straight edge buddies of SSD and Negative FX. The first demo and album Wolfpack are the classic Neg Fx sounding short, raw, fast, explosive stuff we love. Funny to remember that singer Dave Smalley then moved on to the melodic punk rock of Dag Nasty to influence what would be tagged "emo" years later. Fire And Ice is the same thing as the 1985 tamer and hard rock oriented DYS album, somewhere between Uniform Choice's Starring Into The Sun and SSD's Break It Up. The hardcore-arena rock branch of crossover... Not a bad album, yet I often jump directly to track 9 on the CD. Don't miss the Iron Man cover.

Ach ja! German 80s thrash metal from 2011! The legendary Assassin return 6 years after The Club, which was very good, with this angrier, darker, faster and generally more intense and better produced release. Breaking The Silence is still no match for the über top-class frantic murderous thrash metal masterpiece that Interstellar Experience was and still is, but in this modernized straightforward thrash sound and style, I like it 4198 times more than the abysmally disappointing new Tankard album Vol(l)ume 14. As hot as the new Sodom! Maybe even better... And it ends with a great cover of the mega hit I Like Cola from Japan's monster Outo!!!! That alone is worth the investment. Grand bravo Assassin!

Ach ja! Brazilian 80s thrash metal from 2010! The legendary Korzus return 6 years after Ties Of Blood with A MONSTER OF AN ALBUM, if you love Slayer. Hell yeah, it's Carcass day! Chronologically revisiting the entire catalog is an extremely zer experience, with lots of nostalgia. I vividly remember that hot summer day in 1988 when I bought on a sidewalk from a walking distro guy (Domino Minchelli from Purulence I think?) his last copy of Reek of Putrefaction because of 3 overwhelming selling points (I had never heard Carcass before):
- the cover artwork, I could not not possess this thing
- it was on the burgeoing Earache label just like the cultosaurus Heresy/Concrete Sox split LP
- the band members came from Napalm Death and Electro Hippies, which made Carcass, for early grindcore anal completists, not an option to avoid.
Then I went home and played the record and was very disappointed, but claimed to love it :-)))) No match for the Fear Of God 7", but then I got into Prophecy Of Doom and lived happily ever after with that ugly sound. The birth of a love affair with gore-grinding death!
Yo, so Carcass released some of the most legendary grindcore, death metal and "death rock" (Swansong rocks !) albums, with technicalities, massive groove and vile atmospheres, but you know all that already. Hard to pick a favorite, maybe the Peel Sessions and Necroticism? Who cares? CLASSSSSSSSSSICCCCC CARCASSORIZERRRRRRRRR!RR!R! R!R !!RR!R!R!R!R !R R!RR!R!R R ! !R !R!RR!!R !R! R! Combat is the original name of the band, then they had to switch to something else, as fancy as Napalm, when they got signed to Combat records. Among the hordes of 80s US thrash metal bands, Napalm started as an excellent Nuclear Assault photocopy, Cruel Tranquility being one amazing disc, just a little less catchy and impressive than Game Over or Survive. Then things deteriorated with Zero To Black when they tried (with no original member in the band) to become Faith No More and 24/7 Spyz, and failed. This album is still pretty good if you're in for some 90s MTV quiet'n'groove hard rock, except the horrible, abominable, shoot-me-in-the-neck ballad which reeks of orange factory cheese from a distance of 150 yards. Delete the mp3 after download.
And then the original Combat returned and released the nasty self-produced 2007 thrash metal album Ruination which I encourage everyone to buy and headbang to. Not the most remarkable thing of the decade but still very worth a frequent spin!

It's time again for some excellent German late 80s crossover! D.I.A. were a great band from the We Bite rooster, with an Erosion vibe but not as heavy and intense: they developed a more melodic approach of the Attitude | Vendetta sort and with lightning fast-Megadeth solos! Their '96 return with Scheiterhaufen Brennt is a lot groovier (Faith No More intersection?) and a great conclusion to their discography. My favorite is the super excellent Just For Our Sake, outstanding crossoZERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!R!R!R !R!R!RR !R !R! R!R! R!R!RRR R!R!R! R! !R !!R!R! ! !R!! !

Phil Vane, singer of E.N.T., passed away last month at 46. We will continue to enjoy his torture vocals though the immense legacy of Extreme Noise Terror, masters of all things crust, grind and death. I initially bought the Earslaughter split as a Chaos UK fan, but once I had heard the E.N.T. side, I had a much broader, drooling smile. E.N.T. brought the early crust thrash sound of Discharge | Terveet Kädet | Rattus | Mob 47 | Ratos De Porao to new levels of abrasion and speed. The Peel Sessions (with Mick Harris of Napalm Death on drums) and Phonophobia are landmark crustgrindcore monsters!! Their insane aggression is the Rolls Royce of the genre, and they even excelled at death metal with the amazing Damage 381 (with Barney from Napalm Death on vocals) and the head crushing Being And Nothing - one pulverizing exercise in super fast death metal. The Law Of retaliation combines both styles, with an emphasis on thrashing crust mania. ACH! From the Heimat of Arnold and of the super fast coregasmic Cold World, Pungent Stench vomit their grinding groove sleaze metal into our aural orifices. The early stuff is the moisturized dream of all carnal metal lovers of the Repulsion | Autopsy | Post Mortem school of death. Been Caught Buttering sees the increase of thick tides of fleshly grooves and we get an added layer of Carnivore steak. Dirty Rhymes and Club Mondo Bizarro then drown us into the sludge swamps and it feels awesome. Then they returned with the immense Masters of Moral, and the total masterpiece Ampeauty. As much as I worship the classic For God and Been Caught, Ampeauty is the crowning of the beast, it has all their influences stuffed with high class into one real Austrian death machine that reeks of putrefaction. They'll have to work their asses off to top this. Ah yes, the Heathen Scum project, well, bof. As a non-disciple of the Mentors, I am not impressed by this bunch of semi-flacid dirty rock songs. ZER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Eternal Zer Top 10 has many things of first necessity like Eisenvater and Die You Bastard!, and of course a very large wagon for the undisputed kings of terminal grindcore BRUTAL TRUTH!!!!!!! I just spent two days listening exclusively to BT (ah non, I also had some Massacre and Pungent Stench, sorry for the lie), so I felt like posting a bit of their discography. BT have been awesome from day one and have always remained at the top. A unique style, a mastery of dynamics, a merciless execution (watch them throw a 90 minutes performance in your general direction and pick up your jaw), and the best people I've ever had the pleasure to play shows with. There are grinding bands as fast/killer like Rotten Sound or Sayyadina, but to me BT offer just one inch more of class and head-carving variations. UNBELIEVABLE!!!
